Communication with Media and Public at Emergencies

The bachelor’s thesis deals with communication with media and public at emergencies. The fundamental topic are the emergencies, their definitions, classification and the fact, that emergencies occur more frequently and attract public and media attention. Communication is the next presented topic as well as its classification, function and barriers to communicate effectively. Further part is devoted to general characteristics of media, its role in contemporary society and impact on the public. One part also pays attention to the media behaviour and journalistic ethics. The next part characterizes methods of population warning at emergencies, which are available for the government as well as the methods how media are informed at emergencies. Therefore state administration need experienced people having knowledge about emergencies, communication with the public and media, being able to present these problems adequately.
Analysis of Marketing Communication of Business Chains on the Czech TV Market

This Bachelor thesis is focused on analysis of mass media communication on the market of retail chains in the Czech republic. The thesis consists of the analysis of colors and emotional appeals found in the TV commercials that have been published through the Czech channels. The literary research is based on general knowledge about the mass media communication, psychological aspects and emotional appeals used in TV commercials. The metodological part describes the main methods and processes for the research of the TV commercials. The practical part of the thesis consists of an analysis of colors and the application of their emotional and psychological meaning, which they cause to consumers through the televison commercials. The conclusion includes the results of the analysis and recommendations for their implementation.
The crystallization of historical moments in media dialogical networks: an ethnomethodological analysis of Czech media discourse

This diploma thesis deals with a crystallization of the political affair in Czech Social Democratic Party concerning lying of the politician M. Hašek and his colleagues about their meeting with the president after parliamentary election in autumn 2013. The qualitative analysis of mass media texts is based on the term media dialogical network, which was developed by J. Nekvapil and I. Leudar. In their latest publications they combined it with the apparatus of membership categorization analysis and the term structured immediacy. The membership categorization analysis enables me to take into consideration besides sequential aspects of social interaction also participants' categorization practices and thank to the term structured immediacy I could focus on how participants treat historical meanings in their statements. The second important aim of this thesis is to innovate the term media dialogical network as a viable approach to the intertextuality analysis of mass media communication in the new media environment. The fact, that the call for resignation of party's leader was linked to the secret meeting with the president after the election, resulted in the interpretation of the event as a coup against party's leader B. Analysis of the marketing communication of the mortgage loans on the Czech media market in the 2010–2015 period

This Master's thesis is primarily focused on the analysis of mass media communication on the market of mortgage loans in the period between 2010 and 2015. In the theoretical part research was done summarising existing knowledge about the development of the Czech mortgage market and mass media market in the mentioned period. In the second part focus is shifted to the methodology of the research, in particular to the data-mining method CRISP-DM. Described here are tools of descriptive statistics, that were used in the research, and also methods of regress, correlation and cluster analysis are explained. The empirical part of the thesis looks into the trends in mass media communication of mortgage loans, trying to expose relevant influences and identify reciprocal connections between mass media communication of the mortgage lenders, their financial strength and their duration of existence. In the conclusion the results of the analysis are summarised and recommendations are drawn for their implementation in practice.
